Ulster top the tables at the Cork Festival

The Cork festival provides the venue for the biggest team event in the years sporting calendar year. This year Ulster fought hard and claimed the number one spot on the podium, propelling them to the top of the league tables for the first time in several years.

The Inter-Provincial championships has eluded Ulster for the last while but with top quality lifting and superb performances from several of Irelands top lifters, the title has returned North once again.

The icing on the cake was the club performances, with 1st and 3rd place finishes from the Ulster Teams. Read the full write up .

WAUNI developing weightlifting in Ulster and N.I.

With the 2012 Olympics seeming like they are just around the corner, WAUNI, in partnership with IAWLA and the Irish Sports Council are continually promoting the sport and its development potential.
